![]() ![]() This can take up a lot of space especially for larger games, for example Uncharted 2 is over 20GB so the PKG will be that size AND it will need to install the game so it really required 40 GB to hold the PKG and install it. You must copy the PKG over to your PS3 then install it.PKG Games can be "acquired" pretty easily via direct download.Because there are more individual files transfer speeds when moving a GAMES Folder game to the internal HDD will take longer than ISO or PKG.If you are going to "acquire" GAMES Folder games via methods other than ripping them yourself most places you will get them from will provide them in GAMES Folder format.Games with larger files can still be played from internal HDD. The majority of PS3 Games can be stored and run from a FAT32 external HDD as not many games contain individual files that are over 4 GB.Multiman and Irisman can rip your PS3 discs directly GAMES folder format to internal or external drive.I have never been able to get ISO to work on my Super Slim using HEN so I don't even bother anymore with it. After that I use PKG if a GAMES Folder version is not available. ![]() Personally, my preference is GAMES Folder games because they can run from an external FAT32 drive. Not an easy question to answer as all 3 formats have advantages and disadvantages. ![]()
